I just got back from a lovely date with a 23 year old Turkish student I met on yesterdays’ session. We met up at SBahn Warschauer Straße and went for a stroll over the Sunday market on RAW Gelände. The vibe was relaxed and I felt she was happy to see me. This confirmed my suspicion that she liked me because she was eager during texting. She gave a time constraint of 40-60 minutes as she had to catch her bus to Warsaw at 16h and wanted to “complete some things before that”. So I got us a coffee and decided to take her to the Modersohnbrücke1. On the way I did some light kino: touching her shoulder, upper arm, elbow, slightly bumping into her hips. She was accepting it but didn’t reciprocate. I asked her what she thought of my cold approach yesterday to which she replied that she thought “I looked cute”. I can work with. ...

This has to be my best daygame session so far: 11 approaches with 4 contacts, all of which replied to my feeler text. I went clubbing in Berghain the night before and only got home at 06:30. Needless to say, waking up at noon I felt a bit groggy. Nevertheless, I set out on what was to be a productive daygame session. My first two opens were a bit timid. Especially, the second one completely lacked intent: shoulders hunched forwards, weak “excuse me”, supplicating hand wave.. The girl quickly brushed me off (and was right in doing so). I decided to do better and focus on practicing competent daygame by deliberately drilling my side-stops that day. ...

Today I did my 500th approach. I remember walking Warschauer Straße hoping for a memorable set for this personal milestone. I was not dissapointed. She was a pretty Russian who turned out to be on her way to meet some friends. The set was a ray of hope in what was otherwise a very bleak session, as my vibe has been very flat that day. The set didn’t go anywhere because she had a boyfriend of 4 years, but as we parted ways she said “you have very beautiful eyes” as she grabbed my hand to shake it. It’s small moments like these, despite of losing the set, that fuel my determination to reach the next 500 approaches. ...

I’ve been to Istanbul three times before to meet up with my first daygame mini-relationship that broke up in the beginning of 2024. This fourth time I was in Istanbul just for both business and daygame. Where are all the sets? On Tuesday 21 May 2024 I left my hotel which was located in Florya, well outside the city center (for business reasons). The taxi-ride to 30 minutes from Taksim square took about 30 minutes. As the weather was warm and I didn’t want to carry my leather jacket, I decided to leave it in local “Bounce luggage” for storage. This detail becomes important later on in the story. ...

As I’m reaching 500 sets my metric of what constitutes a productive daygame session is starting to change. When I was a beginner (less than 200 approaches) my aim for each session was to open at least 10 girls within 2 hours, as recommended by Tom Torero. The good thing was that I was getting a lot of time in front of girls which helped me build a lot of reference experience quickly. I also got on plenty of dates which resulted in 3 SDLs. The downside was that the quality of approaches suffered. I often found myself in a set with a girl that I didn’t really like. As I was just drilling the model, or rather reducing my AA, this didn’t matter too much. ...
