Yesterday, I was invited by an old friend and his girlfriend to play Monopoly at their house. The friend is well above-average looking and his girlfriend is a professional model. Objectively beautiful and very striking. The other couple consists of an older, rather ugly, back girl and a reasonably good looking chody white guy.
I was stressed out from my job but observed some interesting social dynamics:
- When my friend was losing, his the girls were celebrating his defeat.
- As he came back, his girl became ever more resentful. After a while she got visibly agitated and started making snarky remarks, and eventually direct insults to him and anyone she interacted with.
- He kept his cool but was visibly under pressure.
- The chody guy was completely in his girlfriend’s frame and therefore didn’t participate in the frame battle.
