I’m back in Istanbul on a two week trip (one week holiday plus one week of remote work). This time I absolutely nailed my logistics: I’m staying in Nişantaşı right next to Osmanbey metro station. Not only is it arguably the best area for daygame, it’s also a pleasant upscale neighborhood to live in. This is also reflected in the pricing of accomodation and food… but so worth it.

What I was expecting to be a solo daygame trip quickly turned out to be more social than anticipated: I was hitting the streets hard from Saturday to Monday and was spotted by two distinct daygame groups. “Bro, are you daygaming?” I heard on two distinct occasions. Both guys didn’t look like they were going to stone me, so I opened up. I ended up winging with two Turks and bumped later bumped into a coach working under the pseudonym “Casanova”. Alright. Overall I’m pretty happy: winged daygame is easier, and the decent male company boosts my vibe and gets me out of my head.

I already have a date planned from my solo daygame, but opened some really nice girls while winging. The highlight definitely being a super hot Turkish hip-hop dancer1. So far, I did 26 sets, got 5 numbers, and fixed 1 date. Not too bad, given I speak fuck all Turkish. About 90% of my sets were local Turks in addition to the odd Russian and Slovakian. As expected, I’m doing well with the Turkish girls: they like my fenotype and combined with my peacocked clothing, I really stand out from the boring masses of Turkish chodes.

Most of my sets speak very poor English, which is really not that big of a deal, provided the like me. I just whip out my Google translate, and girls that like me are more than happy to banter via text. I feel I can use more aggressive spikes in my “verbal” game over the phone because it’s easy to play that gray area of “did he really say that or is this just a translation mixup”. All I have to do is find the right girl, open strong, keep solid eye contact and play with my intonation. Girls that like me respond with “ohh thank you!” when I’m not even comlimenting them.

I’m really enjoying the daygame here. Last time, I was here two years ago and I really feel the progression of my game: from good target selection, instantly acting on IOI, and not being fazed by the language barrier. My expectations for this week are that, given some luck, I will perform well and return home with another Turkish notch. It’s also nice to drink beers with and shoot shit with local daygamers in the evenings.

Given my new Turkish wings are working, I’ll still have ample time to exercise my solo daygame muscle during the day. An important reason for me coming here.

  1. I correctly called this out in set. ↩︎
