Today was a rather good day in Amsterdam. I checked out the Westerpark market that takes place every first Sunday of the month. It wasn’t setty at all, so I quickly binned the idea and went to my usual spot: Kalvestraat.

To my surprise it was extremely busy. In the Netherlands shops are open on Sundays, and the streets were packed with girls shopping. I opened the first decent girl I saw but failed to catch hook point. Still a bit rusty…

My vibe however was good. While crossing the Spui square, I passed a dark-haired girl that I really liked. So much even that I chased her into a coffee shop and opened her inside. She gave a green on the open, big eyes, strong contact. In fact, she suggested we go grab a coffee - which we did.

The idate was smooth sailing: this girl was holding strong eye contact, leaning in, and trying her utter best to come across as interesting. She was: Italian, pretty, late twenties. She checked several of my r-select boxes:

  • Former tattoo-artist with plenty of (hidden) tattoo’s.
  • Lip-piercing.
  • Travelled extensively.

I ended the date about 40 minutes in, got the number, and agreed to meet her next week for a drink in the Watering Hole bar. It was a while ago since I had a half-decent date with a girl that’s really interested in Amsterdam.

Excited to see if I can bring this one home.
